Delaware Stars for Early Success is a state-wide program that provides education and training to pre-schools and teachers to assist them in reaching star levels from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest rating for an early learning center. The Stars program is voluntary on the part of the participating schools but efforts are underway to make it mandatory and link participation to state and federal funding. The Stars program will award stars to centers based on a number of measurable factors in each program. Social Venture Partners Delaware provided seen money to develop Stars in 2004.
