Organization Summary
Social Venture Partners Delaware (SVP DE) is a group of social investors (partners) committed to the mission of making quality early childhood education available to all children in Delaware. SVP DE pools partners’ time, expertise and financial resources to work in collaboration with innovative local nonprofits to help them grow. SVP DE partners make generous annual financial contributions, but more importantly, take an active role in their charitable giving. They nurture their financial investments with guidance and resources, with a focus on results. SVP DE has contributed over $1.2 million to Delaware non-profits and over 9,000 volunteer hours since its inception in 2002. For every dollar we’ve contributed, our partners have generated five times that amount through their fundraising, grant writing and ability to bring in additional resources from the community.
SVP DE is part of SVP International, a global network of SVP affiliates who replicate the venture philanthropy model in their own communities. Founded in 1997 in Seattle by a group of technology industry leaders, the SVP network has invested more than $21.6 million in 236 nonprofits in the United States, Canada and Japan.
