Latin American Community Center
Since 1969, the LACC provides its services to the Latino community of New Castle County as a “one-stop-shop” for many of the needs of that population. Over the years, the LACC has expanded its network of services to include day care and educational pre-school services through its La Fiesta Early Development Center. La Fiesta serves approximately 60 children from ages one through five with approximately100 young children on the waiting list. SVP DE has determined that this organization fits the SVP model for an investee organization and that SVP DE hopes to make significant improvements to the La Fiesta Early Development Center in board and volunteer expertise; improvements and expansion, as well as in the services of a dedicated resident in child psychology paid for by SVP DE. This investment represents the year one for Social Venture Partners Delaware and LACC.
