T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Delaware

Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H.) Early Childhood provides scholarships and support to teachers in early childhood education.  Each T.E.A.C.H. scholar is enrolled in Delaware Tech and majors in Early Childhood Education.  Many early learning center teachers lack the necessary educational training and T.E.A.C.H. pays 80% of the cost of tuition, books and fees.  T.E.A.C.H. also provides bonuses to teachers on completion of the program and reimbursement to employers for substitute time.  Teachers commit to completing nine to 18 college credits during a 12 month period.  The SVP DE grant will support two more teachers in the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood program.  These teachers are drawn from the centers SVP DE supports.
